Maximizing Your College and Career Success

Every year millions of high school students graduate and go on to college ill prepared to succeed in an educational environment that is distinctly different than the high school environment they are accustom to.  The statistics support this unfortunate and costly reality.

  • From 2010 to 2014, the percentage of students meeting all four of ACT Benchmarks has risen only slightly from 10% to 11%, indicating only 11% of high school students taking the ACT are actually college ready (2015).
  • According to Jobs of the Future (2015), only 21% of entering U.S. high school students graduate on time, enter college immediately, and earn an Associate's degree within three years or a Bachelor's degree within six years. Approximately 53% of 4-year students will earn a degree in 6 years and 38% of 2-year students will earning one in 3 years (Inside Higher Ed, Nov. 17, 2015).
  • In the May 8, 2015 Wall Street Journal article, Congratulations Class of 2015, You're the Most Indebted Ever (For Now), students average debt is more than $35,000 (not including credit card debt).  Additional research from Inside Higher Ed, Proportion of college students with 'excessive' debt is growing, shows the problem is not getting better.
  • Most students waste between $130,000 to over $180,000 in real and opportunity costs by taking too long to earn a 4-year degree.
  • According to the US Department of Education, in 2015, most college graduates that receive financial aid make the same or less than high school graduates (USDE, 2015)
  • According to the Journal of Educational Psychology, SATs fail to predict future college success for hundreds-of-thousands of high school students (Inside Higher Ed, 1-26-16).  Why?

www.MyCollegeMax.com
MyCollegeMax helps high school AND college students proactively prepare for college and career.   Two programs in one, MyCollegeMax is an innovative program that provides easy to use tools, concise information, and real-time data to help you separate yourself from the rest.  Simply put, MyCollegeMax is everything you need for lasting success.

Every year families invest vast amounts of money, often in the form of debt, on college tuition.  Unfortunately, the statistics about college success do not often support this kind of investment as we prepare students for the knowledge economy. Knowing what the facts are will better prepare you for success and show you why earning a college degree is almost always the right choice.

MyCollegeMax is a research-based program designed to help high school students prepare for success in college and college students prepare for success in their careers.  ALL statistics are backed by research and linked to articles and additional information. Once MyCollegeMax is purchased, it's yours for life.  If you purchase it in high school it will help you prepare for college success.  Once you graduate from high school and enter college, it re-calibrates and becomes a brand new program. That's the equivalent of about $37 annually for a high school freshman and a potential savings of over $130,000 in real and opportunity costs. What's important is that students know they are in complete control of their success.
